I was born in Kroměříž on May 24, 1989.
My parents introduced me to music from a young age. My dad had his own band, my grandfather taught at a music school, so I was always very close to music.
I started playing the piano at the age of six.
at the Holešov Primary School ...
2002
2006
I persuaded my friend Robert Bakala to start preparing me for the conservatory. It was about a year before the talent test, so no one gave me much hope of success. It started with the way he holds the drumstick and ended with his acceptance to the
PJ Vejvanovskéh Conservatory in Kroměříž. And that's just because I secretly practiced my last year of low-voltage in the rehearsal room. Thanks to that, I won't be able to repair a TV or video anymore... but what?
2007
In 2007, I finally started living my musical dream. At the conservatory, I met an incredible number of friends with whom I still work to this day. The band Segment started to do well, and together with Robert Bakala, we founded the Pantheon studio, which became my home for the next few years. I studied in the class of Prof. Tomáš Fábry and Mgr. Gregor Kruyer. During my studies, I changed many bands and learned to play new genres. Simply from jazz to brass band to symphony orchestra.
2009
But I still really liked playing the piano and practicing on it. Since I was little, I had a problem that I didn't enjoy playing from sheet music. I just improvised, all the time and everywhere. I had already written a few of my own compositions, but it wasn't until I was at the conservatory that I thought of writing one for a small orchestra into a score. I put together my little Hanzchestr, practiced with them, and recorded two pieces in our studio: Usual Luck and Optimistic. This was also where I tried my first conducting.
The piece went quite well and I was really fascinated by the composition of the music. I fell in love with film music and tried to write as much as possible in every free moment. I constantly went to my classmates to explain the technique of their instrument, its possibilities and what could be played on it. That way I improved my instrumentation in scores. I even learned to play the violin for a while to understand them better. My studies went smoothly, except for some problems with attending some classes due to staying up all night working on other compositions.
2010
In the meantime, of course, I didn't stop playing drums or playing in the band Segment. We were starting to have quite a few successes, we won the Real League 2010 and made it to the finals of the TV competition Czechoslovakia's Got Talent 2011. We were making music videos, recording albums and we were just having a great time. In addition, I started playing in the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic, where my professor Gregor Kruyer taught me the practical aspects of being a drummer.
in a symphony orchestra.
During this time I also built my HS drum kit, which I still play today. I just wanted a better instrument and didn't have the money for a top-of-the-line set. With the help of my dad and Mr. Ivoš Honajzer, we put together a kit that is truly gold to me.
2011
In 2011, I started working in a lot of great bands. Zabillow, Black melody Jazzband or Marasd, where I took over the drum stool from Lukáš Pavlík. Then came the first small commissions for music for various documentaries and student films.
2012

In 2012, I decided to put Hanzchestr back together and organize my own big concert. This orchestra consisted of my friends, classmates, and school professors. As a conductor, I invited the great violinist Jirka Habart, who was a year younger and was really good at conducting. He also taught me the basics of conducting so that I could conduct a piece, which I had always wanted. In the end, over 80 enthusiastic people gathered on stage, and I can say that my friends too. It was quite challenging to organize and make everything happen. But we managed to do some work, and in May 2012, we sold out the entire cinema hall in Kroměříž, which is also suitable for concerts. That's how the Moment of Music project was born, and it was one of the best moments of my life. Really!
2013
A lot happened in 2013. I was preparing for my graduation concert and trying to catch up on schoolwork. I was just starting to get tired. Luckily, all my professors knew that when I wasn't at school, I wasn't sitting in a pub, but composing, recording, or performing. So they were really supportive, and I thank them again for that.
Another very important thing this year was quite crucial for me. Since I was 12 years old, I literally lived for the band Segment and it suddenly fell apart from one day to the next. The band was starting to get submarine sickness, so we agreed to take a break. However, a month before the planned break, from one day to the next, the bassist and singer left, and that ended the activities of the band Segment.
But then came a beautiful boost in the form of ROCKSYMPHONY. The combination of Marta Jandová, Honza Toužímský, the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic and the classic rock trio that I am a part of. Another amazing thing was meeting David Uher, who plays guitar here and with whom I later founded DRUMPHONIC.
Immediately after successfully graduating from the conservatory, I joined the Hulín Elementary School as a percussion teacher. I also began working with an amazing person, drummer and composer Dalibor Mráz. Together we started writing film scores, and a lot of music was created. We called this connection DH-Film Music Laboratory. We worked closely with QQ studio, and our music even made it into Czech Television programs.

2014

In 2014, David Uher and I started working on a joint project called Drumphonic. At first, it was supposed to be a one-off event, where I only wanted guitar accompaniment for a drumming workshop. I wanted to combine my drumming and composing orchestral parts.
with guitar accompaniment. At first I thought David would just play, but it turned out he had perfect musical ideas. The writing went so smoothly that in half a year we composed and recorded the entire album Walk on Mars, which was released in November 2014 by Indies Happy Trails. We christened it at the Drum Festival, where we had the honor of appearing alongside drum stars such as Mike Terrana or Gavin Harisson. I simply started to believe in this project and devote a lot of energy to it.
During this time I was also in a blues rock band called OLD DOGS, which brought a completely different dimension to my drumming, because I was able to play with Juwana Jenkins, or even with Gary Moore's brother, Cliff Moore. It was a perfect blues rock school, which I am very happy about. We played a lot of concerts in our country, but also in Poland or Slovakia.
2015
In 2015, I found out about an audition for Janek Ledecký's band by chance. So I tried it, but without any expectations. After the selection process and the subsequent audition, I received an amazing phone call from Janek and you can probably guess what he told me. It was a huge shock and an incredible joy for me, because over 120 drummers from the Czech Republic applied for this position.
and Slovakia. As a result, I ended my cantorship at the Music School and moved from Žeranovice near Holešov to Prague. Later, I also left the Old Dogs and had to limit my playing in the Philharmonic.
I also started to do well in composing music. Music commissions started to increase, so I almost completely reduced the sound engineering.
and recording bands. We recorded our first live DVD with Drumphonic, Live at Drive Club, and I was also in the band Motorband for a while, which I had to leave due to my busy schedule. This year I also became the company drumstick player for BALBEX.
2016
2016 is a very fruitful year for me, we finally released the DVD Drumphonic - Live at Drive Club, I made music for the documentary film KOE - Jano Koehler, or for the film Lidé a Město, on which we worked with my great friend Vladislav Františ. I also made music for the film Planeta dinosaurů. This was followed by cooperation with regional television in all regions or the opening theme of the Hororkemp film festival. Another great thing is that Drumphonic finally got a live bass, which was taken care of by Marek Marian Leždík. In addition, I became the official company player of the cymbal manufacturer UFIP.
2017
For me, 2017 is more of a preparation for 2018. With Drumphonic, we released two singles for the album that we are planning for next year ( Star Machine and Vernissage ). I also built new spaces where I record, give drum lessons and rehearse with Janek Ledecký. I started performing my piano improvisations live and regularly on social media. I also had the idea of creating a project for piano and cello. I started implementing the Piano & Cello project and we also managed to shoot the first video clip Blooming Emotion.
2018
In 2018, I basically devoted all my energy to the new Drumphonic album. It's called "JOURNEY TO SATURN" and it was released this year. It's the second album of our joint project with David Uher. In addition to us, we invited a guest, an outstanding cello player - Iris Moris, who also collaborates with me on other projects. In September 2018, we officially christened this album and for the rest of the year I started to dedicate myself again to composing music for various commercials, documentaries and, like every year, I played a lot of great concerts with Janek Ledecký, including the annual Christmas tour.

2019
2019

The year nineteen is one of the strongest for me. Janek Ledecký and I agreed to carry out a symphonic tour together with Ivan Hlas, whom we will marry as a guest of the evening. A total of 5 concerts were planned with four professional philharmonics. It was up to me to arrange and write out the entire concert for all the players. In the end, I also conducted the whole thing and thus surpassed my own expectations. It was probably the biggest challenge I have ever experienced. However, it worked out great and this big project will continue. We all enjoyed these 5 sold-out concerts a lot and also worked up a little sweat. In the meantime, I also managed to release a new piano album "My Hands Belong To You", which is entirely dedicated to my fiancée, to whom we got engaged, by the way, at one of the symphony concerts. It was a truly incredible year.
2020
In 2020, I focused mainly on building a new home and the creation of my recording studio. My wife and I had a wonderful wedding and founded Sedlars-Production together. It wasn't easy, but even during this time I was creating and, for example, the single She Said Yes was created.
